How long does interlock last in Ottawa?+
With proper installation, interlock lasts 25–30 years through Ottawa's freeze–thaw cycles. Shifting is typically caused by inadequate base compaction or poor drainage, which is exactly why we build the base the way we do.
Can a sunken interlock area be repaired without replacing everything?+
Yes. Sunken areas can be lifted and reset without a full replacement. Sealing is optional but recommended, and larger projects can be phased or staged.
Do I need a permit for a fence in Ottawa?+

A professionally built wall lasts 20–50 years or more. Walls under one metre may not require engineered plans, and every wall we build is detailed for freeze–thaw protection.
